NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON INITIAL DRAFT OF UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Tyre will hold a public hearing on October 28, 2026, at 6:40 p.m., at the Tyre Municipal Building, located at 1082 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, NY 13148, to receive public comments regarding the initial draft of the updated Town of Tyre Comprehensive Plan.

The Town is currently undertaking an update of its 2014 Comprehensive Plan. With the assistance of a planning consultant and input from the Town Board, Town staff, and members of the community, an initial draft of the updated Comprehensive Plan has been prepared for review and comment.

The Town Board will review and discuss the initial draft at a Town Board workshop prior to the public hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide residents, property owners, businesses, and other interested persons with an opportunity to provide comments on the initial draft before revisions are made. Comments and recommendations resulting from the Town Board’s review and the public hearing will be provided to the Town’s planning consultant for consideration in preparing a revised draft of the Comprehensive Plan.

This hearing is part of the ongoing preparation and public review of the updated Comprehensive Plan and is not the public hearing for final adoption of the Plan. A separate public hearing will be held prior to any final adoption of the updated Comprehensive Plan.

A copy of the initial draft of the updated Comprehensive Plan is available for public review at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours and is also available on the Town’s website at www.tyreny.gov.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Clerk at the Tyre Municipal Building or by email at townclerk@tyreny.gov prior to or at the public hearing.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TYRE TOWN BOARD
FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WORKSHOP
TOWN OF TYRE, NEW YORK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Tyre will hold a Special Meeting for the purpose of holding a Comprehensive Plan Workshop at the Town of Tyre Municipal Building, 1082 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls NY 13148 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The purpose of this workshop is to review the initial draft of the updated Town of Tyre Comprehensive Plan.

This meeting is open to the public and all interested persons are encouraged to attend.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that immediately following the Comprehensive Plan Workshop described above, the Town Board may consider any additional business that is properly brought before it.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

           NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing pursuant to Town Law Section 184 will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Tyre, New York at the Town of Tyre Town Hall, 1082 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, New York 13148 on October 28, 2026 at 6:35 p.m. prevailing time for the purpose of considering the contracting with one or more entities maintaining adequate and suitable apparatus and appliances for the furnishing of ambulance services within the Town of Tyre for a one-year period, from January 1, 2027 through and including December 31, 2027, and that the consideration for such contract or contracts shall be in the total amount as set forth in such proposed contract.

           At such hearing, at which time and place said Town Board will consider such and hear all persons interested in the same and that a copy of the terms of the proposed contract may be inspected at the Town of Tyre Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

                       NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Tyre on the 28th day of October, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Tyre Town Hall, 1082 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, New York, regarding the adoption of a Local Law of the Town of Tyre for the year 2026 entitled “A Local Law Establishing a Moratorium on Data Centers and Artificial Intelligence Computing Facilities within the Town of Tyre”.  This local law would establish within the Town of Tyre a one (1) year moratorium which would prohibit the review, approval, creation, establishment, placement, relocation, construction, reconstruction, enlargement, modification or erection anywhere within the Town of any Artificial Intelligence Computing Facility or Data Center, as well as the processing, granting or issuing of any preliminary or final approvals for site plans or subdivisions, building permits, variances, special use permits or other approvals for or including any Artificial Intelligence Computing Facility or Data Center anywhere within the Town during the pendency of the local law.

            Any person shall be entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such public hearing.  Copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at the Tyre Town Hall, 1082 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, New York.
