Trash Collection
The Town of Tyre contracts with Casella Waste Management of N.Y. Inc. (Casella) for weekly curbside residential trash pickup on Fridays.
Your trash toter must be placed out, at the curb, no later than 6:00 am on the designated collection day (Fridays). If a holiday falls on a Friday, collection will be rescheduled to Saturday.
Materials must be bagged and placed inside of the issued trash toter. To avoid overages, please ensure that the lid of the provided toter is fully closed and that no additional material is on the ground.
Overages will be billed at the homeowner’s expense. Overages include: Extra Bags at $5.00 per bag and Extra Toters at $15.00 (+taxes/fees) per toter per month. If you are in need of an additional trash toter, they can be purchased directly from Casella by calling 315-781-6500.
Do not place hazardous waste items in your weekly trash collection. The Seneca County Public Health Department typically holds an annual collection day. For more information, please contact: 315-539-1635.
